2026 PARKS & RECREATION LITTLE DRIBBLERS BASKETBALL
WHO’S ELIGIBLE?
All students 3rd through 6th grades. Boys’ and girls’ teams will be split into two divisions: 3rd & 4th and 5th & 6th (Must be at least 8 years old on or by 9/1/2026). This will allow all players to compete at their own level. A player may move up one grade (including students in 2nd grade) to compete in a higher division if a parent or close relative will head-coach their team.
GROUP PRACTICES
3rd and 4th Boys group practices will be at 5:45 on
Monday and Wednesdays
5th and 6th Boys group practices will be at 6:45 on
Monday and Wednesdays
3rd and 4th Girls group practices will be at 5:45 on
Tuesday and Thursdays
5th and 6th Girls group practices will be at 6:45 on
Tuesday and Thursdays
All players will be tested so coaches will have some criteria to aid in the team selection process. Coaches are needed to make Dribblers a success, please contact Prestan Walker if you can help in any way at 486-8669 or by e-mail at pwalker@city.kodiak.ak.us Your child's player fee may be waived should you coach their team.
SEASON FORMAT
This year’s season format will have both the boys and girls running in the same season. Participants will have group practices for the first three weeks of the season where, the boys will practice on Monday and Wednesdays and the girls will practice on Tuesday and Thursdays beginning the week of Monday, September 7th. All games will be played on Saturdays starting in the third week of the season, Saturday, September 26th. The season will go through the week of November 21st. All dates and times for the program are subject to change based off of gym availability and participant numbers, parents will be notified via e-mail for updates.
